Can’t wait for Star Wars: Battlefront 2? Well, now you’re going to be more excited than ever. Next year’s Battlefront game is slated to be the most realistic, immersive Star Wars videogame experience ever. And now it has just been announced that the game will include a proper campaign!
EA CFO Blake Jorgenson has promised that Battlefront 2 will include content from the new films, but it will apparently also take place during the same timeframe as the original trilogy, and should include characters like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.
Talking about the first Battlefront game, Paul Keslin, DICE producer, explained he tries to make games he wants to play, and that a strong narrative is part of that, which is what inspired the Death Star DLC. “How do we add a bit of narrative to the multiplayer game? We know that players want that, we’re not able to give them a full-fledged campaign post-launch for Battlefront, but how can we scratch that itch a bit? It’s been received okay – I think some people appreciate it.”
In Battlefront 2, they should finally have an opportunity to bring this to fruition. Working with Motive, they should be able to match the quality of multiplayer with the single-player campaign.
Let’s hope this happens in a big way!
