Those feeling buyer’s remorse over what side of the console war they picked can now get most of their money back when they switch sides.
GameStop has announced that those trading in a PS4 or Xbox One will receive $200 in store credit, but only when applied to buying a new console.
The stores only accept systems in good condition for the deal. This means no major issues and still including everything that came in the box. If the console has damage or missing pieces it can still be traded in for a good deal but sellers will not receive the full $200. Below is the legal mumbo-jump.
The offer runs through April 24th and is only available to residents of the United States and Guam, sorry residents of other US territories like American Samoa. With consoles like the Xbox One available for $300 this makes the switch a lot less painful.
GameStop also accepts the latest versions of the PS3 and Xbox 360 for some trade-in value for those who still have old hardware laying around.
