PlayStation 4 outsold Xbox One in February

The NDP results are in for February and the PlayStation 4 has once again outsold Xbox One. The streak continues for the Sony dominance over the Microsoft group as PlayStation has headed sales for 12 of the last 14 months.


Xbox is still generating impressive revenue numbers as the gaming industry continues to grow. Both have taken a nice chunk of the gaming industry in sales of hardware and hard drive upgrades to the original models of both gaming systems.

The results are derived from sales within the continental United States. The NDP group tracks sales from all selling aspects and are the leader for reliable market research information in the gaming industry. Since both Sony and Microsoft continue to develop new system add-ons and other such hardware, the total sales also include these extra elements. Sony is leading new product development with the induction of their new VR peripheral for their systems.
