With Rockstar finally announcing the long-awaited sequel to Red Dead Redemption, fans have been dying for some more specific comments. Now we have some statements to report from the end-of-quarter meeting for Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company.
During the private phone call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked whether the company would think about making remasters of old titles.
His answer was, “Potentially yes.” Beyond that, he said he didn’t “have anything specific to announce.” He did add, “we have a rich trove of intellectual properties and there are definitely more things that will be brought to the market in the future.”
Could this be another reference to Red Dead Redemption 2, or possibly future GTA games or remasters? Traders certainly seemed to think so; the stock closed at the end of the day up 7.79%.
