You have probably already heard some rumors that the next Assassin’s Creed game will take place in Egypt, and now there are new details which seem to confirm that possibility. Of course, these details are also rumors.
According to the report in question, the game’s central playable character will be a former slave who is also Altair’s distant ancestor. The character’s skin tone will be darker than those of previous protagonists, and desert mirages will play a role in game play. Apparently there will also be an eagle which serves as a helpful companion. The game’s title will be Assassin’s Creed: Empire.
The developer for this game will be Ubisoft Montreal, already lauded for their work on Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. We can reportedly expect a world map which is three times the size of the one we enjoyed while playing Black Flag.
Right now, none of this is certain, but it all seems way too specific to be meaningless. We will let you know the second there is confirmation on any of these rumors.
