Teaser for Upcoming Call of Duty Game Tells You to ‘Know Your Enemy’

The Call of Duty Facebook page stirred with activity recently, inviting the 24-million fans of the page to view a 24-minute long stream. The stream was comprised of a 33-second clip looped for the entire length of the 24-minutes, sending a buzz throughout the fan base.

The Facebook page had also updated their cover photo and profile picture, displaying an imagery that is designed to look as though a video feed had been hacked. With all of the recent activity, it seems as though Activision is ready to address the Call of Duty game to be released in 2016.

This news comes as an addition to recent events that have included the potential leak of an upcoming game titled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, rumors of a remastered Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and the supposed inclusion of that remaster into the Legacy Edition. Though all of this has led to excitement for the fans, what does this teaser video mean?

The recent teaser gives us some clues of the story line that we will see with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The teaser seems to confirm the speculation of some fans, many of which had been confident that the upcoming title will feature some combat gameplay set in space.

A mysterious group is portrayed in the teaser video, with what looks to be the hack of an Earth-based broadcast, designating themselves as “the enemy”.

Instead of offering answers, the teaser has introduced a number of new questions. Fans of the series are speculating whether the group are even human at all, or aliens invading the Earth from space. Others have wondered whether or not the players will be intercepting the aliens, or will the player’s group be intercepted as they carry out an invasion on another planet? With no answers on the horizon, the questions and speculating will continue.
