A game about driving tractors is more popular on Steam than CoD: Infinite Warfare right now

Remember when Call of Duty used to be the thing to play?  Well, those days seem to be gone, at least for now.  This screen was recently captured from Steam:

That’s right … a farming simulator game is apparently more exciting than Call of Duty this year.

To be fair, there are a few factors which could account for this which are not directly related to the popularity of Call of Duty:

  • Farming Simulator 17 costs $25 less than Infinite Warfare
  • Infinite Warfare is also available through the Windows 10 Store

Farming Simulator 17 also is more positively rated on Steam—though the reverse is true on Metacritic.

It is also possible that this has something to do with PC gamers boycotting COD because they feel that Call of Duty is too focused on console players.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare came out on November 4th for PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.  It currently holds a 6/10 rating on Steam.
