Fallout 5 Pre-Production Leak was a Hoax

The other week, Fallout fans were going crazy over the “news” that Fallout 5 was supposedly in pre-production, and had been leaked by Ryan Alosio, who voices Deacon in Fallout 4.  Unfortunately, this turned out to be a major letdown.  Alosio has rescinded his claim and now says it was a prank.

It is reasonable to expect that there is going to be a follow-up to Fallout 4; it has been a hugely successful game.  DLC will be ongoing through 2016 and may even continue past the end of this year.

The rumor that Fallout 5 is already in pre-production started when Ryan Alosio posted the following image to his Instagram account:


He thought it was a picture of Deacon, but it was actually a picture of Zeek.  When his followers mentioned this, he posted a picture of Deacon and wrote a rather embarrassed response:



That is one heck of a run-on sentence.  So anyway … Fallout Temple then responded with this:



It was at this point that Ryan posted the following reply to Fallout Temple:


Yeah, that slipped by me somehow, the damn sunglasses and dark hair. Zeeeeeke! Seriously though, I appreciate that, it would be very helpful to gather more followers for the fantastic Fallout 4 tribe here, internally there is movement gearing up for the pre-production of Fallout 5 ….(shhh), obviously I can’t get into any details at all right now but it will be a very interesting journey moving forward.
