Call of Duty 2016 Will Come With Backwards Compatible Modern Warfare 1 and 2 For Xbox One

Of all the rumors surrounding this year’s Call of Duty game, the latest to make its rounds in gaming e-zines may just be one of the most exciting for fans of classic gaming.  The next COD game could include two special bonuses: backwards compatible copies of Modern Warfare 1 and 2.

Right now, this is just a rumor.  There is no official confirmation.  The original story stems from TheTechGame, which posted the following:

“A credible source reached out to us speculating over some details with the new title.

According to this source, there is a possibility that we could be seeing some sort of pre-order bonus content. What we may see in this bonus content is not yet confirmed, but our source tells us we may see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.”

All of this is pretty vague; there is no mention of what makes this source “credible.”

But is the rumor itself believable, regardless of the source?  Could it hold weight, or is it all a lot of desperate hype?
