Witcher 4 has been confirmed by CD Projekt Red

A couple years ago, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt blew everyone’s minds as one of the most beautiful, immersive, breathtaking games ever developed. Ever since then, fans have been clambering for a sequel, and now the news is official. CD Projekt Red has stated fairly definitively that there will be another title to take place within the Witcher world.

The announcement was made on TVN24 BiS, a Polish TV station. CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kicinski stated, “It’s too early to talk about it, but it’s not like we’re forgetting about this brand, It wouldn’t be fair towards the fans. We work within this universe for over a dozen years now and I don’t think it’s going to be the end of it.”

So Geralt’s story may be over, but it seems pretty clear at this point that we will get to return to his universe for another game. Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like it is going to be anytime in the near future. Right now the developer is busy with an open-world sci-fi title, Cyberpunk 2077.

It’ll likely be a while before there is any more news on this front, but we’ll be the first to let you know the moment there is a new development with the Witcher 4!
